President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo showed her gratitude for the religious group as she declared July 27, 2009 a special non-working Holiday. Caloocan Bishop Deogracias Iniguez, CBCP public affairs head said that CBCP will be having their elections this week. They will be electing the new CBCP President, Aside from that, three administrative head councils, representing Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, and 20 commissions and committees chairpersons will also be elected by bishops all over the country. Elections will be held from July 11-12.
