President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will be in Egypt to attend the 5th Non-Aligned Movement Leaders summit. Themed as the “International Solidarity for Peace and Development,” it will be held at the Sharm El-Sheikh, also known as the “City of Peace.” The President was accompanied by Press Secretary Cerge Remonde Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo, and Cabinet Secretary Silvestre Bello III as they were about to meet Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak who invited GMA to be their spokesperson for the summit.

COMELEC Officials has already posted the Poll Automation Contract of Smartmatic and TIM for the automation of 2010 elections. The P7.2-billion contract was signed last Friday, as the two firms agreed to join forces for the contract. Meanwhile, Comelec Commissioner Rene Sarmiento urged the public to visit the COMELEC website and vote for the poll body’s voter’s education blog.
