Makati RTC Branch 150, resets the pre-trial of the Magdalo soldiers involved in the Manila Peninsula seige in 2007.The Pre-trial was set to be scheduled on June 5. Magdalo Soldiers,led by Sen. Antonio Trillanes, argued that a deferment is warranted after Court of Appeals has ordered the consolidation of the rebellion trial with the amparo proceedings filed by Monchito Lusterio. Ernesto Francisco Jr. of the Defense counsel justified the soldiers’ motion for deferment of hearing, and that the cancellation of the pre-trial will give time to the appellate court to transmit records of Lusterio’s amparo petition to the RTC.
Emmanuel Angeles of the Comission on Higher Education said that Nursing and HRM course tops the choice of students in College this school year. They continue choosing these course despite reports of dwindling demand for nurses in developed countries. Nursing got 422,978 enrolled students while HRM had 123,523 students as of this school year.
